Since 1974 the Park School of Martial Arts was first in Plano, Texas (a suburb of Dallas) and
in continuous operation since then. Kajukembo Self-Defense Concepts (KSDC) was founded by Michael
D. Park, 8th degree master of Kempo Jujutsu as an expression of his life-long experience in mixed
martial arts and especially the "root styles" of Kajukembo to include Karate (Tang Soo
Do) and traditional Jujutsu. The Park School is one of the few "kempo karate"
organizations world-wide that acknowledges the influence and actively promotes traditional jujutsu
aspects of our art. Master Park earned his first black belt in 1969 and was added to the Kajukenbo
ohana in 1972 under native Hawaiian grandmaster James K. Roberts Sr. Today he is under the direct
supervision of AKA founder grandmaster Alii Don Nahoolewa. The Park School of Martial Arts supports
an adult only membership with ages from 18 to 63. The school offers traditional (old school) and
innovative new instruction in the original hard style or "kempo karate" as founded in
1947 by Sijo Adriano D. Emperado. This knowledge has been preserved and passed down through the
prestigious lineage of great grandmaster Aleju Reyes Sr, to our senior grandmaster Alii Don
Nahoolewa.
